Data Gathering for Reunions

What's the plan?

•  It starts with a data collection APP that is accessed from a private web address. I assume your Alumni Department or Family records can provide you with member contact information. For a reunion, typically a mailing/email is made to probable attendees.  The web APP has a series of common questions that are typically asked during a face-to-face conversations. They are also the questions everyone is curious knowing about their past classmates/family members. The APP can be customized and questions can be changed to suit the situation.

• After the user fills out the form and it is submitted, the data is saved to a file for later processing. The APP can be accessed from a SmartPhone, Tablet, or Desktop. I realize that people are trying to replace desktop computers with SmartPhones but, inputting text is a lot easier if  you can work with a simple word processing program and then cut and paste answers into the APP. That gives you a lot more time to think through the questions clearly. There are no data limits to what can be submitted and there are no "required" fields. In a project I'm currently working on, I'm requesting to be emailed current photos so I can incorporate those with the answers coming in from the APP.

• I need one person in your group that I can give access to the incoming data to so that it can be worked on as it comes in rather than waiting until a 'deadline' is reached and then have to deal with possibly 100's of records all at one time. In the case of a reunion, the end-game would probably be a multipage PDF whose link is given to everyone who took the time to submit information.
